Damage caused by QFF
How do I know if I have Queensland Fruit Fly in my crop?
Here are some pictures collected by PFA staff during field inspections within the Greater Sunraysia region.
QFF infestation may be indicated by one of the following signs:
Premature fruit drop;
Marks /wounds on the outside of the fruit/ vegetable;
Maggots burrowed into the centre of fruit. In severe cases QFF can eat out the flesh of a capsicum leaving only the fruit skin.
